Kitchen Design, Interior Design & Space Planning Services

Proper planning prior to the construction phase of a project ensures high-quality results. During the planning phase, we can include as many or as few of the following as needed for any space:

  • Kitchen or Bath Design Services  A design interview process is conducted for most projects so we can plan the space to fit the client's needs.  The first consultation will be to define the extent of the project and the role you would like us to conform to for your venture.

Either reviewing or assisting you in establishing a budget is necessary.  We'll discuss your scrapbook of ideas (if you already have one) and educate you on the pros and cons of different products available that apply to your project.

We'll conduct a complete job measure and discuss your floor plan, review any preliminary design ideas and your plans for utilizing the space, as well as discuss the contractor resources that are dedicated to your project.

We offer innovative and economical design services, utilizing comprehensive computer-aided design tools permitting the most accurate drawings and visual presentations to be made for a kitchen at minimal costs. We meet client needs on projects of all sizes as well as smaller or specialty design projects.

Real Estate Staging, Organizing, and Redesign Consultations

  •  Real Estate Staging & Organizing "Staging" is to reassemble, organize and stage a home to go on the market for sale (or for your own enjoyment). First impressions are very important when selling a home.  It may take potential buyers only a few seconds to decide if your house if right for them.  Good staging is effective when potential buyers walk into a house and can visualize all their hopes for their new life within your home. I take advantage of those initial moments by creating an inviting space with a broad appeal to a wide range of buyers.  When we arrive to stage or redesign the selected room(s) in your home we:
    • Make the best use of furniture and accessories you already have.
    • Rearrange furniture, lighting and artwork to show off the best view of each room.
Assist you to depersonalize and de-clutter the space.
      Suggest paint colors, where appropriate.
If needed, we recommend reputable contractors.
    • Northland Kitchen & Design Consulting can take the hassle and stress out of preparing your house for sale.  Before you set your selling price or consider a price adjustment, call us for a consultation to professionally stage your home!

"It's not about how much you spend on furnishings or renovations, it's about the careful consideration and placement of all the items in your home".

  • Color Consultations I think about this when I walk into a room..."what is the first thing that interrupts my eye"? Is it pleasing? Or is it distracting me from seeing better features of the room?  If it's not the wall color, but something less desirable, then paint can often be used to distract you from less than perfect furniture! Using paint is the single most cost effective manner you can manipulate a space with.  "Color and your surroundings can affect your state of mind more than any other design element".
  • Clutter Coordinating: Is to reassign and allocate space for high use items and papers that need to be accessible but established in a systematic manner for function and appeal.  Seeing is believing!  And success begins with a fellow's will.  It's all a state of mind.  If your surroundings have collected clutter, it's probably safe to say that your mind has too!
Take 15 minutes each day to de-clutter an area and clearing your hot spots.  This can be a  powerful tool to create a more peaceful home.  Here are a few tips to free yourself from clutter whether it be at home or in the workplace.
 1) Decide how often you are going to de-clutter a zone.  Do a little very day - and use a timer.
 2) Only do a small amount at a time and set up some boxes the are labeled "Give Away", "Throw Away" and "Put Away".
 3) Just do the job as fast as you can and do not pull out more stuff than you can put away in that length of time.  This can mean just one drawer, one closet - or even one shelf in a closet, one magazine rack etc.  Do not attempt to do all of them at once!

4) Start off by cleaning out and getting rid of the things that do not belong in this room.
If you are still feeling overwhelmed and just can't get yourself to begin, there is help!  Give  us a call to discuss your needs!
