We worked closely with the Sus residents to build this custom kitchen. But it was their hard work, experience and
skill that defined it into the elegant space it is today. They've lived and breathed home renovations since the
early 80's and thrive on re-creating spaces to suit their needs. After living in this home for a year and doing
much of the general space planning themselves, they turned the kitchen space over to designer Tonia Dolph to help them
pull together the kitchen look and plan they wanted. (Just a side note...there are beautiful moulding applications that will
be applied to the top of this kitchen...stay tuned for newer photos). "This is one
kitchen I can say(in all my renovations), that I would not change a thing in!."

This bright and beautiful kitchen has every storage feature and convenience to make even the task
of setting the table a breeze. Converting the original architects angled island with waisted space into a larger
simply styled work island has made all the difference, not only in prep area, but when friends and family gather around.
"I absolutely love the dish drawer storage, it seemed odd at first thought, but I would never give
it up!." - Nancy Kehler

This beautiful Knotty Alder kitchen from Dura Supreme with Ubatuba Granite countertop over looks Bald
Rock Point on Rainy Lake. With no real homeowner to design with, designer Tonia Dolph worked with her imagination, her
own kitchen living experiences and her knowledge of designing for real estate sales and incorporated the modern
day conveniences that a high end clientele would appreciate in a summer residence. Without compromising quality or style,
this kitchen came in under the builder's alloted budget . "This kitchen SOLD the home,
I love the attention to detail and the accuracy was superb. The suggestions Tonia brought to this project really
worked with the rest of the home." - Darell Bradley

The Girls' Bath: These two bathrooms were a very exciting and somewhat challenging task.
With their family expanding, the DeGagne's desired 2 baths on their second level for their daughters while creating a
private haven for themselves. The homeowner's immediately identified the waste of space in the "?" room
(as they put it) that housed only a linen closet and served as an ironing center. As space was limited for accommodating
shower, vanity, and toilet in this space, a dramatic shallow alcove was created and perfectly holds a semi-recessed
sink. The vanity and storage area were suspended off the floor to create an illusion of space along with the full
width x height mirror in the alcove. The vanity finishedand faced in Galaxy Black Granite tiles not only provides
a continuous and seamless appearance and disguises the storage drawer, but furnished a luxurious feel at a more economic
price point. Flanking the alcove sides and ceiling with bronze glass tiles brings glamour and texture to the room,
while defining and visually deepening the counter space.

The En-Suite Bath: With countless doors leading into the bath, they desired a private en-suite
space for themselves. We incorporated a spa-like walk-in shower in the en-suite bath with body sprays (fortunately,
another full bath remained on the main level of the home). Adding a hand held shower spray on an adjustable slide
bar is not only convenient for multi-height users, it also makes cleaning the shower a breeze! Additional
storage was provided by increasing the width of the vanit, flanking the sink area with drawers and adding storage
pillars with reed-ed glass doors. Installing interior lighting inside the glassed door cabinets is not only a welcome alternative
to a blinding light on dark early mornings, but creates a beautiful and useful night-light, and visually expanding
the space as well.

"We never dreamed of this possiblity for our kitchen, Tonia's work was fast and comprehensive. I don't
know what we would have ended up with, had we gone to a 'big box' store for design solutions! " -Kathy
& Chuck Brooks

Space Planning: This West Virginia couple was surprised and delighted after
reviewing the concept sketches we created. Initially called to their home to discover the options for re-designing
a kitchen in their existing space, we took one look at the over-sized and under used dining
area, and knew immediately what would remedy their situation.
Moving the kitchen to the current dining area
not only afforded them with mountains of storage and counter space, it created a family style gathering space with
room for a large island, prep sink, and eating counter. Chuck is sure to get his biscuits more often with this great
improvement ! With room to spare, we relocated the desk making if more accessible for Kathy's business, while adding
storage and expanding the work surface.
One of Kathy's favorite results was removing the secondary
stairwell and the unused (and 5th) exterior door, creating a space for a main floor laundry area! The newly designed laundry
even has room for the chest freezer, folding area and towel storage. A neccesity for her and the
non-stop schedule of her hair styling studio attached to their home. There's even a junk drawer for
Chuck.
